::"Fairy Castle" LANTERN::

Wood TULIPS

Moving On

Sometimes you live, you learn, you move on...
Me and my clay stars have parted ways. They were pretty, but way too delicate. They were gleaning a lot of attention and I did not want to be in a position where I was selling to valued customers and having them fall apart.
And so I have them documented here for the archives.

She "fell inlove" with The Quilter lantern

So I made a replica:

Not identical, but close!

"P" is for...

This block was made as a Christmas gift for a woman's parents in California. She requested four images, all of which, represent her parents:

A Walnut for their livelihood as walnut farmers.
A Red barn: Home sweet home. A black Schnauzer for two new puppies they have recently adopted.An Airplane for Dad who used to fly a plane.

This was so much fun to make.

Bottle Cap Fairies

The Gallery Gift Shop

I recently made another sale at my local gift shop. The Gallery Gift Shop in Arnprior. This was particularily exciting to me because it IS my local shop, and because I happen to love the stuff they carry. It's all quirky and cool. Nothing cheesy. I took it as a big compliment, and as personal reassurance, that they were quick to buy my things.

Sure enough, the Bottle Cap Fairies were their favourites. But they also bought some of my stars.

I hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
